This is a portrait of my wife Yumiko. I tried to capture her quiet grace as well as an undertone of thoughtfulness and uncertainty. As a “painter of people” I not only examine my models' facial expressions and body language but also try to reveal their psychological states. It's a challenging task to visualize what is inside the mind.
